The concept Peugeot EX1, unveiled just days before the last Paris continues its harvest of records.
After France (Montlhéry) then China, Germany, which hosted the EX1 and more particularly the Nürburgring.
For the first time in its history, Peugeot tried Wednesday to break a record on the line of the Nordschleife. Stéphane Caillet, technical direction Peugeot Citroen, has covered the 20.832 km circuit and broke the speed record on a power tower.
The EX1 has completed one lap in 9'01''338 with an average speed of 138.324 km / h, in adverse weather conditions.
The previous speed record on this electric circuit was made in 2010 9'51''450 seconds.
The record made by the EX1 concept was formalized by the WIGE Performance, the official timing of the circuit of the Nordschleife.

Peugeot EX1 is the fastest electric vehicle in the Green Hell
Peugeot broadens its expertise in the development of alternative drive systems: on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife, the French manufacturer unveiled the EX1 with a new lap record for electric vehicles. 9:01,338 in minutes rounded to the Roadster the 20.8-kilometer route.
The Peugeot EX1 is driven by two electric motors at the front and rear axle. Together they provide 250 kW (340 hp) and have a maximum torque of 480 Newton meters. The current provides a lithium-ion battery. To keep the wheel drive vehicle as light as possible, used Peugeot carbon parts for the body. The chassis was taken from the racing.
The EX1 has already established several world records for Peugeot. In an acceleration record put the open two-seater back 500 meters in 16.81 seconds, the 1,000-meter mark he broke in 28.16 seconds. Peugeot New SUV SxC : Mix of SUV and sedan debuts in Shanghai
Peugeot brings the car to Shanghai (21 to 28 April 2011) a special study. The vehicle is named "SXC", according to the manufacturer, the abbreviation for "Shanghai Cross Concept. The SXC has been specifically tailored to the tastes of the Chinese market and designed the company's own design studio in Shanghai.
The concept vehicle is 4.87 meters long, 2.04 meters wide and 1.61 meters high. The wheelbase of exactly three meters. The most striking feature is the opposite opening doors. LED daytime running lights front and 22-inch wheels set further accents. The LED issue is taken up to the boomerang-shaped tail lights again. As eye-catching details such as cameras also serve in the mirrors and body panels made of brushed aluminum. The Peugeot SXC has a two-piece panorama roof.

In electric only mode, the car becomes a ZEV (Zero Emission Vehicle), while its combined cycle fuel consumption is only 4.9 litres/100 km or 119 g/km of CO2. When the two powertrains operate simultaneously, the SR1 develops a potential maximum power of 230 kW (313 bhp) and also benefits from 4-wheel drive.

Peugeot BB1 - Strange but cool!
One of the more quirky cool concept cars at the Frankfurt Motor Show yesterday was the Peugeot BB1. The design brief for the BB1 was to provide maximum versatility, a compact size, manoeuvrability (3.5m turning circle) and good performance levels.
To achieve all this, the Peugeot teams faced a real challenge - accommodate four people in an overall length of just 2.5 metres. To meet this challenge, the design of the structure of the passenger compartment has drawn inspiration from two-wheeled vehicles in terms of the ergonomics and controls.
The driver controls the vehicle by adopting a novel driving position - more vertical than is usual. This is mainly made possible through the absence of foot pedals, as in a conventional car. Access to the vehicle is through the reverse opening doors, while the load area access is through an innovative tail board / tailgate design.
The interior can be transformed as required to offer a load volume of up to 160 litres (with four occupants), or 855 litres (with just one person in the car). The style of the vehicle includes a large glazed frontal surface area, low door waistline and extended wheel arches. It's fitted with two electric motors mounted in the rear wheels, designed in association with Michelin.
They produce a maximum power output of 20hp per motor, with a 0 to 19 mph time of 2.8 seconds. Two lithium-ion battery packs supplying energy to the respective electric motors located under the right and left-hand rear seats, with a comfortable range of 75 miles.

This cool Peugeot SR1 Concept Car is an all-wheel-drive turbo hybrid that has a mean 313 horsepower whilst delivering great fuel consumption of 48 mpg. The Peugeot SR1 will be powered by Peugeot’s HYbrid4 Technology, a combination of a 1.6L turbo diesel engine for the front axle and a 95 hp electric motor on the rear end.

Peugeot 207 S16 celebrates IRC domination
Based on the three-door 207 Sport 1.6 VTi, the S16 adds on full 207 RC Cup bodykit comprising front and rear spoilers, side skirts and a “pseudo rear diffuser”, 17″ Hockenheim alloys, SP Sports mesh grille, dark tinted rear windows from the 207 GTi, a special interior badge signed by Kris Meeke and of course – vinyl rally graphics which mimic Meeke’s IRC winning 207 S2000. The decals blends elements from the Union Jack and Peugeot’s lion; thankfully they did not cover the bonnet with the flag as well, as the race car does. Not all will like it, so they can have their S16 in pure Bianca White.
Top speed of 200 km/h and 0-100 km/h in 10.7 seconds isn’t really SS winning speed but hey, at least you’ll feel like a champ behind the wheel!
